The Village of East Dundee is conducting improvements to its Village Hall located at 120 Barrington Ave. New, energy efficient windows will replace drafty 40+ year old windows throughout the Village Hall. Additionally, asbestos will be remediated on the entire second floor. Exterior improvements include tuckpointing, painting and light fixture upgrades. The final cap off will be the installation of a bell in the bell tower, which has been without a bell for many years.

A storage pod will be located on the site for a few weeks to house office furniture while the asbestos remediation is conducted. Village Hall will remain open to serve the public for the majority of project with only sporadic, short-term closures anticipated. In the event of closures, the drop-box in front of Village Hall remains an option for those wishing to make payments, and all village staff will be available via phone or by email. Contact info can be found on our website at www.eastdundee.net.

The Village Board approved funding for these improvements in 2021 and 2022, however with supply chain disruptions and the necessary coordination between trades to minimize disruption, the work is set to start this April and finish approximately 6 weeks later. The refreshed façade and other improvements will enhance the Village Hall and our downtown’s charm and character.
