About the Board

The Joint Review Board (JRB) is composed of a representative from each of the overlying taxing districts within a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District including the school districts, community college, fire district, county, township, and road districts. The Board is initially established when a new TIF is under consideration for making a recommendation of the District’s formation to the Village Board. The JRB remains in existence should the TIF District be approved and conducts an annual meeting. At that meeting, the annual TIF reports are reviewed, minutes of previous meetings are approved, any new TIF legislation is reviewed, and new TIF projects and initiatives are discussed. The Village of East Dundee has nine TIF Districts. Joint Review Board meetings are open to the public.
